Room 504, Thursday After Classes

[intraspective]

After class found Ino laying sprawled out on her bed and resisting the urge just to fall asleep. It would totally screw over her regular schedule if she slept now and woke up at, like, one in the morning. Instead, she was trying to study the notebook Kabuto had given her.

She wasn’t retaining much though. Ino buried her head in her arms and sighed. Was it later yet?

Ino left the door open in hopes that someone would stop by and help keep her awake.

Michael would be more than happy to keep her awake. And just happened to be passing the door, even if he didn't know who lived there.

She, for her part, just happened to be glancing up as he passed by. "Not even a hello?" Ino called out to him.

[And I'm leaving for work in twenty minutes, so yay, SP is our friend!]

He turned quickly, startled from his thoughts, then offered her a grin and stepped to the doorway.

"Oh, hey. Didn't know this was your room."

If he looked around the room he'd notice a slightly disturbing amount of plants. "Been mine since September," Ino said, kicking her legs, and grinning impishly at him, "and now you totally know where to find me."

"That I do." He did glance around, and blinked. "You... really like your greenery."

[intraspective]

"So does Anathema!" Ino said brightly, "Which, you know, is good because there'd have been some truly epic fights if I'd gotten a roommate that didn't like plants."

"If you were the one trying to fill the room with them, yeah, I can see that." He was leaning against the doorframe, now. "Hope Brooke likes goldfish."

"My mom runs a flowershop, I'm used to a lot of plants. You've got a fish?" Ino asked, grinning, "What's did you name it? And come in, come in." She gestured to the bed, "Sit down."

"I don't have a fish yet", he clarified, stepping in to oblige. "Gonna get one the next time I go to the mainland."

Lana had looked up her room number in the directory and then stopped by. "Hey," she said with a smile. "I stopped by yesterday for my lesson, but you weren't there."

[intraspective]

...

That? That would be Ino blinking as she mentally went through the days of the week. "Yesterday was Wednesday! I totally forgot!" She looked apologetic, "I spent it in the clinic," Ino said, "sorry for not remembering to call you."

"The clinic?" Lana asked. "Are you okay?"

[OOC: And I run off for a while!]

Ino sat up, gesturing for Lana to sit if she wanted to. "I'm fine," Ino said, "exhausted, but fine. Cable-san collapsed into a coma Tuesday morning and I didn't leave the clinic until he woke up last night."

Which probably spoke volumes for how much she had been worried. Not that she'd admit to that though.

"Oh no," Lana said, looking worried. "Is he okay?"

[intraspective]

"He says he's fine now," Ino said, "but you know how some guys are about admitting things. I don't think he'd tell me if he wasn't alright."

Lana nodded. "Yeah, I don't get that about guys. Even when you know they're absolutely not fine, they try and tell you they are."

[intraspective]

"It's so annoying," she said, "and he was annoyed when I insisted on walking him back to his place, but really, it's not like I was just going to let him go off on his own after he'd just woken from a coma."

"You missed class," Kabuto greeted dryly, leaning with one arm against the door jam. No, not even a 'hello'. Yet.

She just sighed and buried her face in her arms. "I was at the clinic." The words were a bit muffled but Ino figured he'd be able to understand it anyway.

"Oh? What happened?" He walked over to Ino without being invited, resting one hand on her back between her shoulder blades.

She relaxed against his touch, turning her head to look at him. "I wasn't hurt," Ino clarified, "but Cable-san was in a coma."

"You look tired," Kabuto observed, sending a small pulse of chakra to merge with Ino's own. Precise control kept it from being too jarring, though it would be obvious that he'd done it.

[intraspective]

"Didn't sleep," she admitted, "was working on a way to get into his mind and break him out of the coma." Ino's eyes closed at the pulse of chakra, and she hummed, "You didn't have to do that, but thank you."

"Hmm. That's definitely an alternate use for your talents." Kabuto was interested in that application, filing it away in his mind for later perusal. "You're welcome. Your Cable-san is fine now, I take it?"

"His mind is complicated," she wrinkled her nose, "and he says he's fine, but I still think he should've stayed last night. I walked him home after he was released."
