The nice thing about playing with a puppy for most of the day was that, once she’d gotten back to their room, Zack had conked out fast and hard in a pile of limbs and fuzzy ears on the edge of their bed. Which meant that, until he woke up, she had the freedom to think and do what she wanted to.

Which, tonight, was a matter of finishing her e-mails. It was the matter of seconds to actually send them after proofing them one more time, and then Ino just leaned back against the headboard and frowned thoughtfully, absently toying with her hair.

It was weird, now, to not have something to write as a goal. ‘Sending out the e-mails’ had been a good way to have something to focus on that made her feel like she wasn’t going to suffocate under her worries.

Nothing to stop that now.

[Ooopen door, open post, yes!]
intraspective: (oh hi!)
She'd spent the afternoon in the fourth floor common room, spending her time keeping other people calm and gaining a potential Rookie of her very own. Ino was humming as she flung her window wide open and dug through her notebooks to pick and choose what she'd be able to actually teach Chloe.

After all, Ino wasn't going to try teaching her anything to do with chakra until she'd gotten a better idea of where Chloe's strengths and weaknesses lay.

Ino paused long enough in her reviewing to send a few texts out assuring people that things were back to normal on Fandom before going back to her information hunting.

And humming. Ino was doing a lot of humming. It was a good night.

[Door and post are open, yes!]
intraspective: (say what?)
Yeah. So.

She'd totally skipped out on work yesterday--the fog had been crazy thick and just looking at it had set off every warning her instincts had that it was Bad News and so Ino had decided that, sometimes, cutting work was the better part of valour.

After listening to the radio and seeing the fact that the fog was still outside, Ino decided that, well, skipping was the better part of valour again.

What? She wasn't going outside in fog that made people think others were attacking them. No way.

Rather than work, today, Ino was going to leave texts to a few people about the strange weather (because she'd promised and Ino was trying to be better about things like that) and then curl up and re-read Loveless.

... She had it memorized by now, yes. But it was bizarrely soothing to read something she already knew while the weather outside was strange strange strange.

[Open door and open post with bouts of work-induced SP.]
intraspective: (laughter)
After all the fun with the phones yesterday—which had kept her amply amused while she'd been studying at work—Ino had spent a quiet day, mostly in training and had wandered back to her room tired but quietly content.

A quick shower and then she changed into her jammies and was sprawled out on her bed idly surfing the 'net and listening to music. The door was half open and she nibbled on crackers absently.

It was a pretty good evening, all things considered. Lacked chocolate but whatever. That could always be remedied tomorrow.

[Open door and post, yes!]
intraspective: (who me smile)
It was super late night, long after radio had aired, and Weechee had finally fallen asleep before she got to work, loading up her supplies, and sneaking from her room and into the school. The fact that Tyler-sensei had a window to his office was a total bonus as far as she was concerned, and even then it took her more than one trip up the wall to get it all in.

Once inside, Ino quickly shut the window, pulled the blinds closed, and flicked on her flashlight. With the speed of someone who knew what she was doing inside-and-out Ino set out three different bouquets. (She’d failed in not making it look like a crazy-lady had gone to town, but whatever, he’d said to do what she’d wanted.) …it was probably best not to speculate how much money she’d spent on getting all of the flowers together either.

The first vase held a bouquet of sour figs, a single black poppy, with a tiny branch from a weeping willow, and periwinkles as the main flower. A single lobelia and a lone aconite flower finished off that vase.

Second vase had mint, then a blue poppy and a thorn apple tied together with a deep crimson ribbon. An anemone was similarly twinned with some white lilac, while birdfoot deervetch, balsamine, more aconite, and poppies rounded it out.

A much smaller vase with only hyacinth and candytuft in it was the last. Ino surveyed her work for a minute, gathered up the stray leaves that had fallen, and then methodically searched his office for her other mission goal.

When she left out the window, a few minutes later, Ino was also bearing a box that carried a certain rhino costume, and no sign of her ever visiting the office, except for the flowers, was left behind.

Totally an excellent mission.

[NFB, NFI, OOC a-okay! Office, flowers, and rhino were all broken into/brought in/stolen with permission!]
