Room 504, the Causeway, then back in Alexandria -- Monday All Day

Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

[For the shopping buddy! Up early for crazy sp, and everything past the Causeway is NFB due to distance!]

"What do you know," Triela laughed as she looked around, "I think you got it right."

"And you doubted me!" Ino laughed, as she looked around. "Now we've just got to hope that Fandom doesn't decide to travel further away from us while we're gone. That'd really suck if this portal didn't go back to Fandom when we're done."

"That might be awkward to explain," Triela snorted in amusement. "I mean, I could just call Hilshire or something, but... he'd want to know how I lost my school."

"Mission one: accomplished!" Ino declared brightly, as the left the store. "Now on to other things, which are almost but not quite as exciting as mission one was."

"Yes," Triela laughed, finally letting her face break into the grin she couldn't show the poor gun salesman. "Though you don't have to have a license for the rest of the stuff on our list, so you can actually pay for things."

Not that Triela minded, of course. She had plenty of money, after all.

"What kind of food do you think we should have?" Ino asked as they strolled into a food court of a mall that they'd found fairly quickly. "I'm almost thinking Greek all things considered. It seems fitting."

"That's a great idea," Triela laughed. "Think this trip will be good enough to have a decent Greek restaurant around here too?"

"I'd have no idea how to tell a good Greek restaurant from a bad one," Ino admitted, "so I guess we'll just have to see, right?"

"If I hadn't just spend an entire semester in Fandom the sheer coincidence involved in today would be really creepy," Triela said as she stood in front of the clearly-abandoned and run-down apartment building.

"I mean... this place is almost perfect."

"No, it's totally still creepy," Ino said, staring at the building. "And almost perfect? What's wrong with it?"

"No guarantees that it won't collapse while we're in there. It doesn't look like the most stable structure ever, you know."

Which didn't stop Triela from walking into the broken-down lobby anyway.

"Um..." Triela peeked out one of the windows. "Looks like they're on both sides of the building. Up's probably a better choice. At least it is if you can make the jump to the next building over..."

She snickered, couldn't help it despite the seriousness of the situation, "Don't worry about me making the jump, that won't be a problem at all."

Ino glanced up the stairs. "Let's get moving then, yeah?"

The cafe was small, neat, and cool. Ino flopped down in one of the chairs, looked at Triela, and cracked up laughing. "What a day, yeah?"

"Yeah." Triela was a bit flushed as she settled in across from Ino, partly from the exertion and partly from excitement. "Still, I'd say it was a success overall, right?"
