Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

"Which is sneakier?" Ino asked immediately. The mannequins were great at showing what it looked like, but not so much with the showing how well they could be hidden.

"I mean, it's not like I wear bulky clothing or anything, so it'll be a bit more work to hide a weapon like this, right?"

"Yeah, the bigger the weapon the harder it is to hide. Of course you run into a weird problem where the better hidden a weapon is the harder it is to get to. I mean, you could keep it in a purse, but then you'd have to dig it out."

Triela pulls back her coat, "I've got a shoulder harness for mine, but I'm just about always wearing my coat. If I take it off then it's sort of obvious."

"Yeah," Ino eyed the coat, "people would stare way, way more if I suddenly started wearing coats." Most days, for Ino, were rather sleeveless. "I'm thinking then that a waistband holster would work better--I can always start wearing more of Kabuto's shirts when I go out, and those are pretty big on me. Big enough, I think, to hide this without looking like I'm hiding something."

"Probably a good plan." Triela picked up one of the holsters in question and held it out for inspection. "You'll see it's got a little clip on it. That's so you can put it inside the waistband of your pants or a skirt and put the clip on the outside. That let's you keep the gun hidden inside."

"And, yeah, you'll need a shirt or jacket or something that will cover the part of the gun that sticks up."

Kabuto's shirt collection was going to be pillaged now. So totally pillaged. What? It was for a good cause!

The fact that she liked wearing his shirts had nothing to do with it. Really. Hush.

"Is there a certain fabric or cut that it works best with?" Ino asked, checking the holster over carefully.

"Not really, just anything you're comfortable in."

"Though," Triela pursed her lips, "Remember that the gun's not exactly light. You'll want to make sure your pants are going to stay up. As long as you've got that covered, and you're careful not to wear something so tight that it shows the outline of the gun, you should be fine."

"I... think I can do that," Ino said, considering her wardrobe. "Do you have to clip it to your pants or skirt, or like, would the bandages I wear normally work well enough do you think?"

"You could probably use any sort of belt-like thing, yeah."

"There are a couple of other options too, though they're less common. Like we could try finding you a thigh holster or something."

"Maybe a thigh holster for when I don't need to hide it? Because that'd make it more convenient for me like, on a mission, or something. And get a waistband holster for when I can wear it, there might be danger, but it's best not to show off that I'm armed?"

"That sounds workable." Triela rummaged around and picked up a few things. "Let's try these on and see if they're a good fit for you."

"Modelling weapon-accessories," Ino grinned. "That might totally be a fun career don't you think? If I could, you know, kick some ass while doing it."

"Well, after we get you a way to carry it, I think we'll start looking at some nice enhancements to the gun itself." Triela smirked, "And then if we have time: body armor."

She grinned. "Which'd be totally cool, but hey--carrying the gun is the most important part totally. Now," Ino glanced around, "do we just try them on here, or are there change rooms?" She didn't see anything immediately, but then, it could be just well concealed.

Which, really, would be fitting. Ha.

"Eh, just try them out here, I guess. It's not like you actually have to get undressed. Just see if you can slip the holster in behind your waistband."

Leggings were... probably not the best type of pants to be trying this with.

She laughed a bit as she tried to get it to slip in right. "I think I'll wear different pants the next time I go shopping like this." A bit more struggling with her pants. "I think it's okay? Maybe?"

"Hmm," Triela hummed to herself as she looked Ino over. "I think you're right. With some baggier pants that'll be fine. Does it feel weird where it's pressing against you? Because if you're wearing it then you'll have it there for hours at a time, so it's important to check now."

"Like, weird-bad? Not really. It'll take some getting used to, but it's not, like, uncomfortable or anything."

"As long as it's not going to give you a blister or anything." Triela tapped her chin. "Try putting your pistol in the holster so you can get a feel for the weight and stuff."

It took her a few tries, and Ino felt ridiculously awkward about it. "This is so going to take practice, I can tell." Not that she minded practice really, but still. "And, yeah, definitely with the having to get used to it. I'll need to try my taijutsu out with it at some point, see what this does to my balance."

"Flexibility too," Triela agreed. "The gun isn't going to bend when you move, and the barrel is long enough to be something of a nuisance if you try to bend too far."

"Still," she smirked, "It's a gun. Pretty nice to have in a lot of fights."

Ino looked wickedly amused. "An even better weapon to have in a world where you've got the only one," she pointed out. "But yeah, practicing loads is totally on the schedule now. It'd be way beyond stupid to get this and then mess up because I was too lazy to get used to it."

"It took me about two weeks to really get a good feel for quick drawing mine. A few adjustments to the straps too. I'm betting you'll have to experiment some with just where you hook the holster before you get things right. Still! You think it's a good fit?"

She nodded, shifting a bit to get more of a feel for it. "I think so," Ino said, "it's pretty neat really."

"Great. That means we can move on to the next step! Gun accessories!"

Triela dragged Ino over to another section of the store which had an assortment of flashlights and red-dot sights all meant to be attached to pistols.
