Room 504, the Causeway, then back in Alexandria -- Monday All Day

Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

[For the shopping buddy! Up early for crazy sp, and everything past the Causeway is NFB due to distance!]

"What kind of food do you think we should have?" Ino asked as they strolled into a food court of a mall that they'd found fairly quickly. "I'm almost thinking Greek all things considered. It seems fitting."

"That's a great idea," Triela laughed. "Think this trip will be good enough to have a decent Greek restaurant around here too?"

"I'd have no idea how to tell a good Greek restaurant from a bad one," Ino admitted, "so I guess we'll just have to see, right?"

"Sounds like a plan. I mean, it's totally worked for us so far, right?"

"In a creepy way, yes," Ino said. "It's mildly disturbing, really, to realize how useful Fandom is being, don't you think?"

"I try not to think about it," Triela chuckled. "Because, yeah, it's really weird."

She stopped abruptly. "Is that a Greek restaurant?" she asked, pointing.

"I think it is," Ino said incredulously, "which, seriously, is starting to creep me out. If it's a really good one then I'm going to be even more disturbed. Shall we go check it out then?"

"I would say 'it couldn't hurt', but I'm afraid I'd jinx us..." Triela pursed her lips thoughtfully. "Oh, what the heck. Let's do it."

With that she headed toward the oddly-convenient restaurant.

"Besides," she said lightly, as they headed towards it, "wouldn't we feel terribly silly being wary of a restaurant? Talk about cowardly, yeah."

Triela paused at the door. "After you," she offered generously.

"You just want me to wind up in trouble first, I know it," Ino said with a laugh, as she entered the restaurant.

It was a nice little place, with a quiet murmur of chatter in the air and the hostess who smiled at them seemed sincere about it. "Table for two?"

Ino smiled. "Yes please," she glanced at Triela, "any preference as to where?"

"Just going along with things has worked out pretty well for us so far," Triela laughed. "Just wherever, I guess."

'Just wherever' turned out to be a cozy little window-side table and after telling them that their server would be with them shortly they were left with the menus.

"Now," Ino said as she glanced at hers, "I've never had anything before that was Greek, at least, I don't think so. Have you? I've heard it's good."

"It is," Triela leaned forward, looking over her menu. "Most of the stuff on the menu here looks pretty good too."

"If rather unpronouncable," Ino laughed. "Ah well. Maybe I'll just point, or something."

"Which one are you thinking about?" Triela leaned over to get a look at Ino's menu. "I at least know how to pronounce Greek a bit, even if I never learned it for real."

"I was thinking of, well, that one," she said, "or maybe this soup. Naturally they're the most unpronounceable on the list."

They were, respectively, Spanakopita and Avgolemono.

"Good eye for tough words," Triela laughed as she supplied careful, and mostly correct, pronunciations. "Why not go for both?"

"Because then I'd feel like a total pig?" Ino asked lightly. "What're you getting?"

"A salad," Triela pointed to a 'salad' that was mostly feta cheese and salad dressing.

"...not a whole lot of salad there from what I can tell, but hey, sure," she laughed. "Whatever, right?"

"Hey, it says 'salad' right here!" Triela insisted with a laugh. "You wouldn't call the menu a liar, would you?"

“Totally would,” she insisted, and was about to say more when their server came by asking for their orders. Ino, carefully trying to say the words—and the server having to repress a grin—ordered both her choices, she’d just push what she didn’t eat on to Triela or something. “Just water with that, thanks. Water for you too? Or something else?”

"Water," Triela agreed, leaning back in her chair.

"So, after lunch, you want to see if we can find somewhere to test out your new purchases?"

Ino waited until the server bumbled off before answering. "I'm doubting that, around here, there's anywhere, you know, legal we can do this. Even with Fandom being frighteningly helpful."

She leaned back in her chair though and grinned. "Not that I'm against doing it the other way."

Yeah, Ino pretty much thought this world's law was a joke. Breaking it? No problem.
