Room 504, the Causeway, then back in Alexandria -- Monday All Day

Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

[For the shopping buddy! Up early for crazy sp, and everything past the Causeway is NFB due to distance!]

Ino had to struggle a bit more to put her gun away, back in it's case. "That'd be especially awkward since I know I don't exist in anyway shape or form legally here." She snapped the case shut.

"Let's run," and started darting up the stairs.

"And I doubt Hilshire would be pleased with having to bail me out," Triela admitted as she followed Ino.

Because all things considered, escape and evasion was really Ino's area more than Triela's.

"It's stupid that this is a big deal," Ino said, as they raced up the stairs as down below came the sound of more people entering the building, "I mean, seriously. It's an empty building. Why shouldn't we?"

"Most people are uncomfortable with the idea of a major shootout going on in their neighborhood," Triela pointed out. "And that's probably what this sounded like to civilians."

"These people need to get tougher skins then." A beat. "Or live in a ninja village for a while."

They were on the top floor now, and she paused a moment, looking for the door that'd lead to the roof. "We should've brought something to cover our heads with," Ino muttered, "our hair is way too damn distinctive."

"Well, on the bright side no one would really believe that two innocent looking girls like us were up to no good. At least as long as they don't catch us here with the guns."

Triela eyed the door. "Off the roof, do you think? This is really your area."

"Off the roof," she said, "and we'll make it fast. Get ten buildings or so away--as far as we can, I can't remember how tall the buildings were around this one, but we'll see--get that far away, get down, and get to the nearest crowded public place and buy something stupid like an ice cream."

She tried the door. And rolled her eyes. Of course this one would be locked. Ino smashed it open with a kick and darted outside. "Come on!"

"Right behind you," Triela answered, her voice losing emotion as she got into the mission frame of mind.

They crossed the roof quickly, Ino scanning for the best way to get across to the next roof, and knowing that the police were behind them and coming up the stairs.

There. It was a leap of about two meters, but Ino figured that Triela could handle that no problem and didn't stop to question her about it before flinging herself across the gap and landing lightly on the next building over.

Triela was right behind, the distance well withing her cybernetically-enhanced range. As she made the leap she glanced down and spots a police car between the two buildings. One of the officers was scanning the windows of the upper floors so he spotted them.

Of course he blinked and shook his head because, well, the idea of two blond girls jumping around on the roofs was crazy.

And then they were gone.

Ino lead them across three more rooftops, all of similar distance, before changing direction.

It was both a good thing and a bad thing that so many of the buildings were the same height and build around here. They could get away easy enough, but it also meant that the cops could see them for longer. They were fast though, and frankly not what the cops would be looking for.

Two small girls? Not likely to be shooting things. If only they knew.

A few more buildings over, and then one that was a good twenty feet lower than the one they were on. Well, that was easy enough. She leapt, and hoped Triela would do it too.

Triela followed. The engineers at the Agency had wanted speed, strength, and durability, and they'd gotten it. Artificial bone and muscle barely registered the impact of the drop, though running all out like this was still tiring.

Ino, in contrast, wasn't very tired. Not yet. And not running full out, not quite. That would require chakra and that would just be... pointless. They were doing fine. More than fine, though Ino darted a quick look at Triela.

"And down," she said, darting over to the roof door and was glad to find it unlocked. "Quickly now, then out on to the street, and act normal. I saw a cafe, I think. We'll head for that and stay there for a while, yeah?"

"Good plan," Triela agreed. Her voice was only slightly breathless. She didn't have Ino's stamina for this sort of thing, but she had enough to appear reasonably relaxed.

She headed inside the building, checking her pace so that with each set of stairs they went down, they were going slower, until by the time they were at the bottom of the building they were walking at a mostly normal pace.

"You good?" she asked lightly, pushing open the front door and offering a smile to what had to be a tenant as they passed. "Let's go sit down."
