Room 504, the Causeway, then back in Alexandria -- Monday All Day

Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

[For the shopping buddy! Up early for crazy sp, and everything past the Causeway is NFB due to distance!]

She nodded, shifting a bit to get more of a feel for it. "I think so," Ino said, "it's pretty neat really."

"Great. That means we can move on to the next step! Gun accessories!"

Triela dragged Ino over to another section of the store which had an assortment of flashlights and red-dot sights all meant to be attached to pistols.

Ino eyed everything dubiously. "Now," she said slowly, "what's all this going to do for me?"

"Like most weapons stuff, it's all trade-offs. Everything you add makes your gun a more versatile tool while making it heavier and harder to hide. You'll probably go without most of these things, though..."

Triela picked up a small box, "I'd recommend these. It's a replacement set of sights for you gun. You can't see it in this light, but it's hard to aim in the dark. With a set of tritium painted sights like this there will be softly glowing dots on the gun itself to help you see where you're aiming."

"I'll take your advice for it?" Ino said, "I mean, I've never tried shooting in the dark."

"Well, full dark is a bad idea without night-vision gear, but a lot of times it's just too dark to see your sights. They blend in with the rest of your gun, and they're tiny. Making them glow helps."

She looks over the other gear. "The rest of this you don't need."

Ino wasn't really used to thinking like that, not really. She still thought mostly in terms of back home where they really did sometimes have to learn to fight in full dark.

"It also provides more of a target for the enemy," she pointed out, "but your word is law here. I'll get them. No doubt they'll prove useful and then you can laugh at me for being wrong."

"You can always switch them back if you need to," Triela grinned.

"Anything else you want to look at, or should we go get some food?"

"Food," Ino said as she went and paid for her holster and sight-things and ignored any dubious looks she was getting. "I'm totally starving now. Shall we?"
