Room 504, Saturday Night

Ino could sing just fine thank you very much even though Ichigo was a bit of an idiot about it and was proving that, this evening, but singing at the top of her lungs with the radio up and blaring, not caring that she didn’t know half the words to the songs, and dancing around in her room in her pyjamas.

With the door wide open. As you do.

What? She was having fun! Loudly.

Take that, Ichigo!

"Puh-lease," Ino said, waving one hand dismissively. "I'm not the recluse here--all your fault."

"I'm at gun club every week!" Triela pointed out. "And I don't see you there."

See? Ino's fault!

"I work Tuesdays," she pointed out. "Can't be in two places at once."

"Why not?" Triela teased. "You've got all those other neat abilities."

Her grin widened. "Unfortunately, that's not one of them."

"You should work on that."

"And it's not my fault you work all the time, you know."

"Nuh huh, I'm not taking on another project!"

Seriously, now.

"And I like working! You could always come visit."

"But I never need anything. And Cable is a stingy jerk-face who won't sell me anything."

"So?" Ino asked, snickering. "I get other visitors who don't buy stuff."

"Really?" Triela blinked. That had never occurred to her.

"Yes! Sometimes they're there to use the meditation room, but a lot of the time it's just to come in and chat, maybe have lunch with me, or whatever."

"That... sounds weird." Because Triela was totally a bastion of normalcy.

[intraspective]

"It's not," she insisted. "Seriously not."

Triela burst out laughing. "Because you'd be the one to know what's weird and what isn't, huh?"

She sniffed. "More normal than you!"

"Says the ninja," Triela laughed.

This... probably wasn't one she could win.

Ino raised her eyebrows. "I'm still a normal girl," she pointed out.

"I don't think that qualifies as normal." At least Triela was smart enough not to make any claims to normalcy herself.

"What? The ninja thing?" Ino wondered. "It's perfectly normal in my world."

"Oh, so everyone's a ninja there?" Triela had apparently decided that keeping the discussion on Ino offered her a better chance of winning this argument than getting into just how normal cyborgs were.

"Nope," she said, smirking. "But in a hidden village there's quite a few of us."

"Then you have a whole village of weirdos."

Obviously.

Oh, totally.

"I'm pretty tame on the weird scale then," she mused.

Sad thing was--she was right.

"Okay then." By now Triela had completely lost track of what they were arguing about.

Ino just laughed.

"I win!"
