Room 504, Saturday Night

Ino could sing just fine thank you very much even though Ichigo was a bit of an idiot about it and was proving that, this evening, but singing at the top of her lungs with the radio up and blaring, not caring that she didn’t know half the words to the songs, and dancing around in her room in her pyjamas.

With the door wide open. As you do.

What? She was having fun! Loudly.

Take that, Ichigo!

"I'm pretty tame on the weird scale then," she mused.

Sad thing was--she was right.

"Okay then." By now Triela had completely lost track of what they were arguing about.

Ino just laughed.

"I win!"

"Congratulations?" Triela ventured. "What does that even mean?"

She paused.

"Honestly," Ino said, "I have no idea."

"So," Triela changed gears. "It has been a while, you know. What have you been up to?"

"Working!" Ino chirped. "And classes, and dealing with a boyfriend that thinks I can't sing."

"Since when do you have a boyfriend?" Triela asked, blinking.

Ino stopped and considered that.

"...a few... months?" she said dubiously. "Maybe."

"And you didn't feel the need to come tell me?" Triela put her hands on her hips in what was obviously mock-outrage. "You're so mean. Next you'll be telling me that you brush your teeth without asking my permission!"

Then she grinned. "So who iiiis it?" she sing-songed.

"Brush, shower, and do laundry," she deadpanned.

And grinned. "Kurosaki Ichigo. Orange haired, tall, kinda grumpy."

"I've seen him," Triela nodded. "We talked once."

"And...?"

"And that's it," Triela snorted. "I don't know anything about him, really. I guess he must be nice?" Or... something?

"You so need to get out more," Ino decided.

"I get out plenty!" Triela objected.

Even if Ino was right.

"You do not," Ino said, rolling her eyes. "Seriously now."

"I run a club. I have a job. I go to classes. And I go on a lot of missions."

Which, when she thought about it, sounded like excuses for not getting out enough. "I get out plenty!" she repeated.

"Those all sound like excuses to me," she taunted.

"Hey, that's what I was hearing from you about coming to gun club," Triela countered weakly.

"That's one excuse," she said, grinning. "Not a load of them."

"Now you're just splitting hairs," Triela rolled her eyes good-naturedly.

"And you're surprised by this?"

"I suppose a shouldn't be," Triela snorted. Then reached out to grab a lock of Ino's hair so that she could pretend to examine for split ends.

Ino eyed her dubiously. "What're you doing to my hair?"
