Room 504, Monday Morning

Ino, unlike most the rest of Fandom today, woke up and was perfectly a-okay with the world. She was chirpy, even.

And giggling whenever she looked over to the spare bed in her room, and saw Ichigo there. She’d be less amused if he woke up still all mentally ill-like, but Ino figured that, for now, she’d just take the hopeful route and assume it had worn off over the night.

Because she couldn’t wait to mock him mercilessly.

"What?" he asked, annoyed that the wince actually made him feel badly. Stupid.

Man, she'd so win in a real fight if it came to that.

"I like you better this way."

No, this wasn't a fight.

He snorted and that might have been the hint of a grin right there. "No kidding."

"No kidding," she said, grinning openly. "I never knocked you out before, yeah?"

"Not that I remember," he eyed her dubiously.

"See?" she chirped. "So it's definitely a good thing I like you better."

"Can we just pretend that didn't happen?" he asked. The bed was a lot more comfortable now that he didn't have a headache.

"Nope!" She beamed. "It's just too funny. One true love, indeed."

"You're just proving how much you're not," he made a face and decided that now would be a good time to sit up.

"Would you rather me be the simpering twit you seem to have expected me to be yesterday?"

"Hell no," he blinked. Oh right, he'd lost his shirt to the ocean. Did he really die? There's been no shinigami so he was going with no. It'd be only polite for Rukia to drop by if he had.

Ino had a shirt (and it was even his!) but no way was she going to just, you know, offer it to him.

"Good," she informed him. "And you're the one that lost the game, by the way."

"What?" he asked confused, not following. "What game?" Had he played a game this weekend?

She grinned.

"You talked first."

He glared. "That doesn't count! I wasn't myself. You talked first this morning!"

"It counts," she insisted. "You can't claim Fandom Whacky to cover that!"

"I wasn't in control of myself!" he argued. "Do you think I'd have jumped you like that if I was?"

"Doesn't matter," Ino said, leaning close. "I won. Admit it. You broke first."

"I lost my mind! It doesn't mean I won a stupid game," he bristled, his glare turning into a scowl.

"I won," she insisted. "Totally did."

He made a face, huffed and crossed his arms. "If that's the only way you can win."

"Does that mean you'd like a rematch?" Ino asked, narrowing her eyes at him.

He smirked. "I don't think you can handle it."

"That a bet?"

"We already had a bet, didn't we? You're just trying to cheat your way out of it," he pointed out.
