Room 504, Monday Morning

Ino, unlike most the rest of Fandom today, woke up and was perfectly a-okay with the world. She was chirpy, even.

And giggling whenever she looked over to the spare bed in her room, and saw Ichigo there. She’d be less amused if he woke up still all mentally ill-like, but Ino figured that, for now, she’d just take the hopeful route and assume it had worn off over the night.

Because she couldn’t wait to mock him mercilessly.

"I don't know. They're not always very forthcoming," Ichigo pointed out, as if she should know that. "I've only been a shinigami for a few months."

She sighed.

"Your world is mental."

"Like you can talk," he smirked and glanced down at her.

"What's wrong with my world?"

She stuck her tongue out at him.

"It's just as weird," he said. "Besides, ever afterlife is probably as weird."

She shrugged.

"People are just dead in my world. I wouldn't know."

"I..." He stopped, because really he'd never thought that. "Most people in my world think they're just dead."

Ino contemplated that. "So there's no way of telling, really, is there?"

"I'd know," he pointed out. "Probably. I can see ghosts here too."

She snickered. "I don't think that'd go over well with Dad if I dragged you home to check."

"Why not? You don't have to kiss me in front of him," he pointed out.

She laughed. "Is that a hint to kiss you now? And, really, it's my Dad. I'm his princess. You're a boy. He'd be cranky no matter what."

He flushed at the first question and quickly decided to ignore. "So don't tell him I slept here?"

[intraspective]

"I wasn't planning to," she assured him.

"Okay. Good," he nodded and he was not thinking about the question she asked him. Really.

She grinned and then, because she was evil, reminded him. "And you didn't answer the question."

Strange how he didn't need to be reminded which question. "You usually don't need any hints!"

She grinned, standing up and deliberately in his space. "You get one kiss today," she told him, "because I'm glad you're yourself."

Then she kissed him.

Mmmm, shirtless Ichigo.

Since when was there a ratio? There hadn't been one before!

Oh right. It meant he should take advantage of this. No, it didn't.

It meant that he was kissing back, not as confident or as skilled as the day before. Nope, it was that same tentative, almost clumsy kiss.

She didn't mind that kiss, it was him and that was perfectly okay with her.

There was no ratio! She was just teasing him.

Ino grinned, when she pulled away. "Feel better 'bout the one true love thing?"

"Gah! Put a sock in it," he grumbled and finally pulled back to try and find his shirt.

"You love it," she sing-songed. "Don't deny it."

Hidden shirt was hidden!

He was still going to try her closet again, dammit. It had to be in there eventually. "I am denying it."

She sniffled.

And hid a grin.

"I'm ignoring you," he informed her as he pulled the closet open.
