Room 504, Saturday Night

Ino could sing just fine thank you very much even though Ichigo was a bit of an idiot about it and was proving that, this evening, but singing at the top of her lungs with the radio up and blaring, not caring that she didn’t know half the words to the songs, and dancing around in her room in her pyjamas.

With the door wide open. As you do.

What? She was having fun! Loudly.

Take that, Ichigo!

"Well, he's a dork," Hurley said. "That settles that."

That got a laugh.

"A dork? Do you know him?" He was totally a dork.

Hurley shook his head. "I don't think I've met him yet, still."

"You're sweet," she said, grinning. "And he is one."

Hurley grinned. "But, he's probably a cool one, right?"

She pushed herself halfway into a seated position, and hummed.

"Sometimes." Not that she'd tell Ichigo that.

"You two still sorta... going out?" Hurley assumed yes, but he was making conversation.

"Totally," Ino said, "we're being all good and relationshippy and stuff. It's fun. What 'bout you?"

"Oh, Penelope and me are gonna go to the Valentine's Dance together. So I think we're doing just fine," Hurley said.

"You and Penelope?"

"Oh, don't worry, she's not engaged anymore," Hurley said. He grinned.

Ah.

Ino was going to wonder about that one. "That's good then!" She grinned. "I bet you'll look cute together!"

Hurley nodded. "That's the idea," he said. "I'm putting money aside so I can have a nice, like, suit for it."

"Check out Pixie Dust," she said loyally. "Romeo owns it, and he's got an awesome sense of fashion. He'll know what to get you."

"Romeo? Like, the dude that doesn't eat pudding?" Hurley said.

Ino blinked. "Romeo doesn't eat pudding?"

"Yeah, he said something about a gremlin bite and pudding," Hurley said. "Put him off of it."

"...I'm so going to have to bug him about that," she decided, giggling. "Keeping things like that from me, the wretch."

Hurley chuckled. "That was, like, the first conversation I ever had with him."

"Wow," she said, considering that. "I don't even think I can remember my first conversations with people off the top of my head. He's pretty awesome though, just so you know, if the pudding put you off."

Hurley's chuckle turned to a big laugh. "Dude, it takes more than not liking pudding to put me off."

"And that's one of the reasons why you rock too," she said lightly. "'Cause you're so nice."

Hurley shrugged. "Jut the way my mom raised me, you know? But thanks."

"I mean it," she told him. "Not many people are that nice."

"Kinda sad, really," Hurley said. "Being nice to people is more fun than the alternative."
