Room 504, Monday Morning Before Third Period

Ino, getting back from Tyler-sensei’s office, and quite content with the glitter she’d gotten in her hair (it had been on her hands, and therefore... well, had migrated to her hair quite easily and maybe on purpose).

Leaving the door open, she flopped down on her bed and set about writing a letter to her dad that detailed just what she’d gotten up to this weekend, and how Liir had the worst taste ever in boys.

Seriously. Ugh.

He tossed one of the caramels at her in response. "Shut up," he added lightly.

"You don't like it when I'm quiet," she said, making a face at the caramel and setting it on top of his head.

He shook his head roughly, not caring where it flew. "Who said that?"

"I did," she said, giggling when the caramel landed on the floor.

"Whatever," he quickly got up and let himself fall on the bed. If he happened to fall on top of her? Her problem.

She squeaked and barely managed to get out of the way in time. "And what's up with this?"

"Nothing," he stretched out, his feet dangling off the bed and he seemed to be getting comfortable right there. If she had a problem with it, she'd just have to cope.

She was just going to lean against him and he was just going to have to deal with it.

"Oh yeah?"

Fine.

"Yea," he glanced at her. "What? You've got a problem with it?"

She unwrapped a sucker, dragging the bag more firmly into her lap.

"Did I say that?"

"No."

Now he was just going to have to reach up and tug on her hair.

That got a bit of a grin. "There you go then."

"I still never said that," he insisted, tugging gently once more.

"Sure you did," she said, relaxing against him.

"You imagined it," he accused, not minding the whole leaning thing at all.

"Didn't," she insisted. "I don't imagine things like that."

"Si when did I say it?" he demanded to know.

She shrugged, smiling impishly. "Sometime."

"When I was sleeping?" he wrinkled his nose at her.

Ino laughed.

"Maybe!"

"You're not supposed to believe what I say when I'm sleeping," he deadpanned, reaching up to catch a lock of her hair between his fingers.

"Why not?" she asked, turning her head so it was easier for him to fiddle with her hair.

"Because I'm sleeping and I could have been talking about anyone," he pointed out, twirling the lock around his finger.

"Oh?" she asked. "Anyone I ought to be worried 'bout then?"
