Room 504, Monday Morning Before Third Period

Ino, getting back from Tyler-sensei’s office, and quite content with the glitter she’d gotten in her hair (it had been on her hands, and therefore... well, had migrated to her hair quite easily and maybe on purpose).

Leaving the door open, she flopped down on her bed and set about writing a letter to her dad that detailed just what she’d gotten up to this weekend, and how Liir had the worst taste ever in boys.

Seriously. Ugh.

She stared at him. "That's not an answer."

"Sure it is," he frowned at her. What wasn't to understand about that?

"I ask if you're bored, you tell me there's no hollows," she said. "That's not an answer."

He still thought it was. "Yeah, I'm bored," he clarified.

She rested her head against his shoulder. "Why not get a job, or something, then?"

"A job doing what?" he turned his head to look at her.

"I don't know," Ino shrugged. "What do you like to do?"

He considered it for a moment while his thumb idly brushed over hers. "Fight hollows?"

She smiled slightly. "What did you do before you fought hollows?"

"It's not that long ago," he said idly. "Study?"

She laughed softly. "Seriously?"

"Why?" he rested their hands on his chest. "What's wrong with that?"

"Just seems weird," she said. "Only doing that. I couldn't do that."

"Because you already know what you want to do," he pointed out.

She glanced at him. "Yeah, but, I mean--there's a bunch of different things that fill up my time. Not just the one."

"I know," he shrugged. "I do stuff like catch a movie or hang out with friends. Just, nothing specific?"

She laughed a bit. "Alright, fine, you win."

He smirked. "Of course, I do."

And that just earned him a whack to the side.

"Ow! Quit it!" he glared and tried to push her off the bed.

She shriek-laughed and clung to the mattress with all her might.

"Quit it!" he stopped trying to push her off, but tried to poke her stomach instead.

That just got more laughter and a wriggle as she tried to get away.

He wrinkled his nose and tried to catch her hands. "You're messing up the bed."

"Your fault," she insisted, tugging a bit at her hands and giggling.
