Room 504, Tuesday Morning

Ino... had heard radio. Thanks a lot, radio.

Ino was now contemplating hiding in her room for the rest of the day just in case Temari-san had heard, and took offense, to what had been said.

It didn’t look much like she was hiding, since she had the door open and was ostensibly just doing a thorough check up on all of her many plants. She was honest enough with herself though to know that she was hiding. If Temari-san had really wanted to have words with her then a closed door was hardly going to stop her.

Just... staying out of Temari-san’s way sounded like a real good idea right about now. So that's what Ino was doing.

"I don't know," she told him, stretching out on her stomach and staring up at him. "No grand master plan here."

"You could give me my shirt back?" he suggested.

That got a smug little smirk. "Nope."

"Is it to remember me by?" he teased, oh so modestly.

"Never mind that I took it before I kissed you, right?"

"Maybe you were planning it then already," he guessed, flopping down on the ground beside her bed.

She reached over to try and tug at his hair.

"Me? Plan?"

"You plan," he replied, reaching up to thwap her hand away.

"That's an idea that'd surprise some people," she noted, making a grab for his hand instead.

"You're supposed to be a ninja," he pointed out, frowning as she caught his hand. He leaned his head back against the mattress to look up at her.

"I am one," she said, keeping her hold on his hand and wrinkling her nose at him. "Still surprises people."

"You shouldn't care," he told her, tugging on her hand.

"Don't, most of the the time." She tugged back.

"Good." He braced his feet on the ground and reached up to grab hold of her arm with two hands and tug her down.

She squeaked, but let him pull her down, doing her best to land on him.

He'd asked for that, really.

"Umph! You're heavy," he exaggerated, because it was easier than wondering if he should have known this was going to happen or not.

She laughed. "I'm not!"

"Heavier than you look," he argued. He wasn't bothered by the whole having a girl on top of him thing. Nope, not at all. He wasn't thinking about it either.

"Oh yeah?" Ino asked, deliberately not moving. "How heavy do I look?"

"Like I can pick you up with one hand?" he suggested. It was a wonder he was daring to breath right now.

She blurted a laugh, rolling off him. "Good answer."

He blinked as the danger was suddenly gone. "Don't sound so surprised."

She was still close to him, of course, but yes. "I'm pleased," Ino informed him.

It wasn't like he was disappointed about it or anything. "You're easily pleased than," he told her. No, he didn't think that sounded dirty.

Ino did. She grinned because she was pretty sure he didn't.

"With the right people," she drawled.
