Room 504, Monday Evening

[intraspective]

Ino was in a bit of a Mood. Not really cheerful, despite being bouncy in class, but not really grumpy or anything either. Mostly thoughtful.

On the bright-side, it was mainly manifesting itself in her muttering, almost inaudibly, to her plants as she went about reorganizing them and debating if she ought to just… get rid of the extra bed entirely, somehow, as she’d been without a roommate since the summer and that sounded about fine to her.

But it wasn’t like the plants cared if she kept them on the other bed, and for the moment it was being used as stage-zero for her to put them all, and then decide from there where they ought to go.

"There's a thing called 'knocking'," Ino told her, without heat. "You might want to look it up."

"Knocking, for me, usually means a shotgun shell in the lock."

"Besides," she smirked, "you left it open."

"I'm sure, at least, you know how to knock," she said, glancing up from her plants. She was sitting cross-legged on the floor.

"But whatever, I guess it's fine."

"You didn't answer my question though," Triela pointed out with a grin.

Ino pretended to think about it.

"How about both--really awful, and rather fantastic all at the same time and because of the same thing?"

"Was that same thing your boyfriend?" Triela asked curiously.

[intraspective]

"Nope," she said, leaning back against the bed. "Ichigo had nothing to do with it."

"I guess that's good?" Triela offered, not entirely sure if that was the correct response.

[intraspective]

"Obviously," Ino said, "Ichigo having nothing to do with it is good. We had a perfectly fine Valentine's Day."

"So what was awful and fantastic at the same time?" Triela asked. "Because usually the answer is a boy."

[intraspective]

"Told Liir all my issues with him," she said, leaning back to glance up at the ceiling. "In great pointed detail 'til he shouted for me to leave."

"So it was awful." A beat. "But rather... fantastic all at the same time. Finally saying it all. So you're right, it was a boy. Just a different boy than who you were thinking."

"Aha," Triela nodded. "Did anything get resolved, or...?" she trailed off.

[intraspective]

"He shouted for me to get out of his sight," she repeated, with a languid stretch. "So, no. I don't know. I think it's up to him now."

"You've done what you can, though, right?" It was a pretty rhetorical question, really.

[intraspective]

"Depends on what you consider I ought to do," she said, rolling her eyes and answering the question anyway. "I won't apologize for telling what I thought of him, and while I'm sorry that it probably hurts him, I'm not sorry I hurt him."

It was a distinction there, at least in her head. "I think he needed to be told. What he does now is up to him. I've nothing to do further."

"Do you feel better now?" Triela asked, genuinely curious. It wasn't like she had those sorts of conversations back home.

[intraspective]

"Relieved, a bit," she admitted. "Even though, I bet, once he goes 'round telling people how mean I was to him there'll be less who want to talk to me. But whatever, I'm not running for Miss Popularity."

"Liir doesn't strike me as the sort to spread stories." Triela shrugged. "But I don't actually know him that well myself."

"It's enough," she said, sighing. "He likes phrasing things so people'll feel sorry for him."

"Any particular reason? Or is that just the way he is?"

[intraspective]

"How he managed to survive at back home." She shrugged. "I don't care, that's more of a minor irritant anyway even though it's all but continuous."

"Well, at least it's done, now. And you can focus on more important stuff."

That got a laugh.

"True," she agreed. "Any suggestions on where to start?"

"Gun club," Triela answered promptly with a teasing grin.

"I'm at work then," she said, snickering. "Geez."
