Room 504, Thursday Really Late Morning/Early Afternoon

Ino was in a Mood. Had been since yesterday and talking to Liir, and then talking to Cal had only made it worse. She was in a Mood.

Now, normally, this meant she’d be raging or ranting or flinging things around, but instead she’d drawn her curtains, shut her door, and for good measure settled down against it so no one could get in.

Staffy leaned against the wall by her desk and she wondered what Liir would say when she saw him again.

Whatever, right? She wasn’t in the mood for flying with him. She wasn’t in the mood to be happy, or silly, or even pissed off at him. Or, really, at anyone.

Just kind of... quiet. Almost sad. It wasn’t a very comfortable mood, she decided.

But it was still her Mood. And that was that. She didn’t need anyone coming by and telling her otherwise. Didn’t want anyone coming by and telling her otherwise.

He considered it for an instant and decided that really, he could live with that. "Are you burning something in there? Because I'd like some sort of warning if you're going to set off the fire alarm."

"Burning is so last week," Ino said, almost smiling at that. "No fire alarms going off, promise."

"So what's it this week?" he wanted to know, still... talking to the door. He sighed and leaned his shoulder against it as he waited. "I had a class with hand grenades yesterday so you're too late for that."

She shrugged, then realized he couldn't see. "Just a mood, I guess..."

"...what were you doing with hand grenades?"

If anyone passed in the hall, this was going to be embarrassing. "Just blowing stuff up. It's a class on blowing stuff up so... We blew stuff up. Rocks mostly."

"Rocks aren't very exciting to blow up," she said, thinking about it.

"It was the first time using explosives," Ichigo replied. "Some people actually never used grenades before, I think it's a start. We're supposed to come up with plans on how to blow up the school by the end of the semester."

"...do you actually get to blow up the school?"

He blinked at the question. "Why would we actually blow up the school?"

"Well," she mused. "Aliens did it once."

There was a moment's silence from the other side of the door as Ichigo wondered why no one has told him that.

"I'm not an alien," he finally replied. "So are you opening the door or are you waiting for someone to come by and think I'm crazy talking to myself?"

"I'd have to get up to open the door," she noted, "as I'm leaning against it right now."

"Is it locked?" he asked, eyeing the door handle. It might possibly be better for Ino if it was.

"...maybe," Ino said, glancing up at the lock and wondering if she should, you know, move.

She really, really should as Ichigo decided that a 'maybe' wasn't a 'no' and thus it gave him the right to just try to open the door.

And it turned out that the door wasn't locked and now Ino was scrambling out of the way of it.

"You're supposed to ask if you can come in," she said crankily.

"I knocked," Ichigo pointed out, entering the room. "People generally consider that as a request to enter a room. I'm not going to spend an entire conversation talking to a door."

"I could've been naked!" she protested.

That got him to pause and no, he didn't flush at all. Really.

"You're not! So quit complaining!"

Okay, maybe he did flush but he got over it fast.

"I could've been though," she said rebelliously. "Geez."

"Okay! Okay! You could have been," Ichigo apparently felt the need to shout. "But you weren't so next time I'll just ask."

"Okay, then the squirrels will totally laugh at you," so would she, really. There was no winning this conversation.

A beat.

"And quit shouting, honestly."

"Yeah well... Quit saying stupid things!" he grumbled, in a quieter tone at least.

"You're the one that came to see me," she snarked. "So, obviously, the stupid things don't bother you that much."

"Well... I guess not," he stuffed his hands in his pockets and he was going to pretend that was a perfectly cool reply. It was.

He glanced around the room to distract himself. "Who's your room mate?"
