Room 504, Friday Morning

[intraspective]

“Liir,” Ino was saying patiently to a wee green-eyed kitten. “I can’t pet you and go through my closet at the same time. Seriously.”

The door was shut, just incase her brother got it into his head to make an escape for it (and, really, she doubted he would--he just wanted snuggles, and scritches) but whatever. Better to be cautious.

“Oh, fine,” she said, rolling her eyes and picking him up. And snuggling him, shut up. “I’m waiting for Lana you know and you’re totally not allowed to look while we change, or I’ll stuff you in the closet... or come up with a kitty blind-fold, or something.”

[Door is shut, post is entirely open despite Ino only expecting the one! Entertain me?]

Lana beamed. "Yeah, it is, isn't it? He had it made just for me. he shouldn't have, 'cause it cost him a fortune, but god, it's gorgeous."

"It'll last you forever," she said. "It's the sort that's meant to be passed down."

Lana nodded quietly. "Yeah."

"Nuh huh," Ino said. "You're not allowed to be thoughtful and sad today. There's a cruise tonight, you know. And the kimono is gorgeous, it's totally a crime to be sad in front of it."

Lana smiled up at her. "Wistful," she said, "but yeah, cruise tonight. Are you going?"

[intraspective]

"Same difference," Ino said firmly. Or whatever. "And I totally am. Are you? 'Cause I was thinking we could wear kimono to it, but you totally wouldn't want to wear this one since it's so special..."

"Um... I hadn't really thought about it, but... maybe. And no, I wouldn't want to wear this out anywhere."

[intraspective]

Ino pondered that for a few moments, taking the time to cuddle the Liir-kitty more (Liir-kitty was getting totally spoiled cuddle-wise for however long this lasted).

"You could borrow one of mine?" she said, considering. "I mean, I've got a fair few and they're pretty and such, but there's no special meaning attached to them."

"Are you sure?" Lana said, a smile starting. "That might be a lot of fun."

"I totally don't mind," she said brightly. "And it definitely will be if you're up to it."

"Sure, why not?" Lana said with a smile. "Maybe I'll even give Lucas a call see if he wants to meet up on the boat. I haven't seen him since, well... you know."

[intraspective]

Ino grinned. “That’s the spirit,” she said, though privately, even though she’d never met him, Ino didn’t have a very high opinion of Lucas, seriously. “My closet is yours for the night, totally not a problem at all.”

A beat.

“…and now you’ve got me wondering if I can con Michael into going with me.” Hmmm.

"Why not?" Lana said with a grin. We'll call them and tell them we'll be the ones in kimono."

[intraspective]

Ino giggled. “Because Michael’ll probably need to have more motivation than that to actually go out and talk to people. He’s not very social, really.”

...none of her boys were—what was up with that?

“I might have to convince him in person.” Because that was totally such a hardship. Totally so. Only, you know, not.

"That sounds doable," Lana said with a grin. "I'm sure you'll hate that! I never can seem to find Lucas, though, so a phone call will have to do."

"It'll be totally wretched, I know," Ino agreed, trying to keep a straight face. "And, yeah, I definitely hope your phone call works, seirously."

"Thanks," Lana said with a grin. "And now... kimono?"

"Kimono," Ino said brightly, wandering over to her closet, and setting Liir on the floor. "Any particular colour you'd like? Blue, pink, yellow, red..."

[SP is shiny shiny fun!]

"Oh, blue, maybe," Lana said. "What do you think?"

That got a glance. "It'd suit you, I think. Hmmmm." She started going through her closet humming slightly. "Which one, which one, which one..."

Lana smiled. "Wow, they're lovely, Ino!"

[intraspective]

"Thanks," she said, grinning a bit.

"Annnnd, oh, what about this one?" Ino asked, while deftly pulling it out of the closet and holding it up.

"Ooh, that's beautiful!" Lana said. "Do you think it will fit me?"

[intraspective]

"It should?" Ino said. "This one's always been a bit too big on me, but there's only one way to try it out, you know. And that's totally to try it on."

Lana, with a little bit of help,slipped into it. "Oh, it looks so nice!"
