Land Shark Living Room, Sunday Evening

... Land Shark, Ino decided as she found herself a bottle of water and some chips and flopped down on the couch, was an okay cabin name.

She wasn't quite sure what it was but that was alright. Guessing from the rest of the cabins, Ino was figuring on some sort of monster but—well. Maybe the shark their cabin was named after was magic? Which was why it could go on land? Did it even matter?

Probably not, so long as it didn't attack them because they'd used its name.

It was something to idly consider anyway as she pulled her feet up under her and pulled out one of her notebooks as she made herself comfortable in her home away from the dorms for the next few weeks.

Besides, the living room was way better for checking out how many of her cabinmates would be social. She liked social!

"Nothing's really stopping people from lying," Rinoa said, "except that it's kind of against the whole spirit of the game. I'm surprised no one's ever been blackmailed over I Never."

It didn't help that admitting something to a group made for bad blackmail material, as it was already semi-public.

"Are drunk people any fun to watch?"

//Depends on th'drunk, I suppose.// Jono shrugged, shifting his weight around so that he could lean his guitar up against the side of the chair before just kind of oozing back into the cushions. //If they're having a good time of it, they can make some pretty spectacular arses of themselves, I suppose.//

And he would love to join them in their drunkenness, preferably without having to tune in for some residual psionic buzz.

"I guess it'd be boring, if they just went to sleep," she mused. "Or really unfortunate, if they were mean drunks. I always wondered about that. Why are people so different when they drink? You'd think it would affect everyone the same way, but some people get silly and others just brood."

That was met with a shrug, yes.

//Maybe that's th'way they're more naturally inclined to be,// he replied. //Drinking stripes away their inhibitions. They don't have to be what everyone expects them to be, when they've got a few lagers out of th'way.//

"So you're just ... a concentrated version of yourself?" she asked. "I can see that. But it's strange, then. It makes alcohol into a sort of truth-serum, in some ways."

Jono was giving Rinoa a thoughtful look now, yes.
