Room 504, Thursday Evening

[intraspective]

Ino had whined at her dad until he'd sent her weapons catalogues, and getting a lengthy lecture on how she wasn't to take up anything that would have her neglect her other studies (ha, as if) and was sprawled out in her favourite jammies flipping idly through the magazines and pausing on a page that detailed some of the types of unbreakable wires they had.

Interesting, she admitted, making a note to go back and maybe get some more wire later, but really, she needed a weapon that was better for close range.

Humming idly along to Ikimono-gakari, she flipped the next page, and kicked her feet idly. It was totally a nice relaxing way to spend an evening. Dorky music and weapons—how better?

"For those times when I get called off on a mission the day of club. Someone's got to make sure it runs properly." Triela would point out that she never actually suggested Ino for the position.

Even if she would take the other girl in a heartbeat. She had the right mentality.

"Ahhh," Ino said, looking contemplative. "Any ideas for one?"

Triela sighed and shook her head. "Plenty of people in the club are competent enough with weapons, but... none of them really get what they're for." Killing. "I trust them to be safe, but... to be in charge?" She shrugged.

"Though..." she tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Jak might be able to. If he were to join the club."

"He's always angry," she noted. "I'm not sure that's the right sort of--demeanour for a gun club leader, you know? Skill and mentality, but..."

"True," Triela allowed. "He's not the sort you go to for advice."

Ino grinned a bit.

"Not 'less you want to get your head bitten off for a stupid question, hm?"

"It'd at least be funny to watch," Triela grinned back.

"But not useful," she sighed. "And if people're going to go, it ought to be useful, yeah?"

"True," Triela agreed with a sigh. "Especially here, where it's more than just theoretical knowledge."

"Just theory is boring anyway," Ino laughed lightly. "And learning for real is way more interesting--you remember better too."

Triela nodded in agreement. "So, I've complained about my class. How've yours been?"

She lifted one shoulder in a shrug.

"Nothing worth complaining 'bout this week," she said easily. "Which makes me a bit boring, yeah?"

"With everything you have going on? Super boring."

"Oh absolutely," she agreed, nodding. "The dullest person on the planet."

"You must work really hard to maintain that position, huh?"

Ino laughed.

"What do you think?"

"That the answer is obvious," Triela smirked.

"Nuh huh," she replied. "You've got to give a real answer."

"Or what?" Triela asked with a grin.

Ino's grin widened.

"Or I buy you higher heels."

"Which I promptly regift to someone who's crazy enough to wear them." Because there was no way Triela was going to do more than three inches. Nope.

"Pffft," she laughed. "If you want to be boring."

"I am not boring," Triela snapped. "Unlike someone."

Unimpressed Ino was unimpressed.

"Are you anything but Issues right now?" she inquired.

"What do you mean?" Triela asked, eyes narrowing just a bit.
