Room 504, Sunday Late Evening

It had been a day spent dealing with two of four of the children, and Ino was pretty sure she’d gotten the easy two. Isae had wanted to window shop, and Ken had been pleased enough to walk with them while she asked questions about his classes. Then she and Ken had gone to Fight Club.

“Isae, honey, we’re back,” Ino said, pushing the door open. “Have you seen Masaki, or Masaru around yet?”

“Nuh huh,” Isae said, while Ken took a seat on the floor. “Otousan’s probably going to be back soon. Masaki’s a baby and’ll need sleep! I don’t need sleep yet, Okaasan. Honest!”

Ichigo wasn't taking too kindly to being ordered like that and he had half a mind to argue, but the room was noisy and doing this in front of four kids wasn't something he was in the mood for either. So instead, he got up - ruffling Isae's hair for an instant - and slammed the door only a little.

"I can do it!" Masaru said instantly, reaching for his shirt to tug it on.

Masaki was sitting with a hand in front of her mouth, her eyes wide. "I mike my teethm!"

Ino really didn’t care about anything as silly as Ichigo’s feelings at the moment, trying as she was to get them all in bed and he was not helping in her estimation.

“Come here, silly,” she said, reaching out for Masaki. “You get to keep your teeth if you brush them properly.”

Ken just rolled his eyes and sat down next to Isae. “Then you should’ve done it in the first place,” he said to Masaru.

Isae stifled a yawn and rolled over enough to poke Ken in the side, making him squirm.

"I'll wash them!" Masaki promised solemnly as she climbed in Ino's lap.

"I'm doing it now," Masaru replied as he pulled the shirt down and tried to straighten up his hair.

"You'd better," she said, cuddling the baby. "I like you with your teeth."

Ken just sighed and poked Isae back, prompting giggles.

"Next," Ichigo said as he opened the door. He dropped his clothes on the back of the chair.

"Me! Me!" Masaki started to wriggle. "I want to wash my teeth!"

"Go on," she said, setting Masaki on the ground with a kiss. "Go wash your teeth!"

"I'll go with her," Ken said, getting off the bed. "So she doesn't get toothpaste everywhere."

"I'm already done!" Isae reminded everyone. "And Masaru still has to go too!"

"I get to comb your hair," Ichigo said as he sat down beside Isae. "Do you have a brush?" It'd been ages since he'd done this for Yuzu.

"I'm going!" Masaru said with a deep sigh and he rolled from the bed on the ground, bouncing up again to catch Masaki's other hand.

"We can all go," Ken said, tugging his younger siblings towards the bathroom.

"Okaasan!" Isae said, leaning against Ichigo, "can you throw me the brush?"

"You've got two legs and a heartbeat," Ino said dryly, but tossed the brush over in an easy lob, and gathered her own jammies. "I'll be back in a minute. Try not to destroy everything, yeah?"

"There go my plans for the evening," Ichigo whispered to Isae as he reached to take the brush from her.

"We'll be fine," he said louder for Ino's benefit.

Isae giggled, leaning against him. "But not the plants. I like the plants!"

Ino grinned, shook her head, and left momentarily.
