Room 504, Sunday Evening

[intraspective]

Ino was flopped out on her bed and eyeing Kusanagi dubiously. She’d heard radio, you see. For his part, Kusanagi was still a snake.

Ino had decided that this was a very very good thing for her. Kabuto had vaguely mentioned something about the snake becoming human the last time this had happened, and Ino was, frankly, good with her snake… still being a snake. Especially since he was a very grumpy one.

She stuck her tongue out at the terrarium and wriggled around so she could go back to rereading her notes for various things she was studying. And eat chocolate. Mmmm, chocolate.

"I'm not so great with keeping up with it myself," she admitted easily. "If I hear it, it tends to mean I just forgot to turn off the radio."

Hurley chuckled. "So, been up to anything neat, lately?"

[intraspective]

"Loads of studying," she said thoughtfully. "A few date-things and that's about it. Too busy to do more really. How 'bout you?"

"Lots of working. One sorta date-thing, I guess. Otherwise, yeah, same old, same old," Hurley said.

[intraspective]

"Date-thing?" she asked cheerfully. "Tell me?"

"Oh, it's not like... Angela just sorta took me out to Caritas about two weeks ago," Hurley said. "It was fun."

[intraspective]

"Caritas can be rather awesome," she noted.

A beat.

"Why?"

"Why what?" Hurley asked. He wasn't sure what she meant.

[intraspective]

Ino shrugged. "Just curious."

No, that didn't answer the question. Ino was well aware of that.

"...I'm confused," Hurley said.

[intraspective]

"Have some chocolate," she said helpfully.

"Seriously, dude... why what?" Hurley asked.

[intraspective]

"I already told you," she said, rolling her eyes. "Just curious."

"...you asked why, but I'm not sure what you wanted to know, like, why about," Hurley said.

Poor Hurley.

Ino eyed him over her bit of chocolate.

"It's fine," she said lightly. "Don't worry about it."

"Okay," Hurley said. He took a bite of the chocolate she'd given him. "I just... wanted to answer you, I guess."

[intraspective]

"You sort of did," she said impishly. "All unknowing."

"Oh, okay," Hurley said. "So, ummmm, what about you? And your date-things?"

[intraspective]

"They're fun, I guess," she said, smiling. "I'm not hard to please, really."

And she wasn't. As long as things went her way.

"Cool," Hurley said. "Who's the lucky guy?"

[intraspective]

"Ichigo Kurosaki," she said, giggling. "He's a loud-mouth, with bright orange hair. Can't miss him."

"I don't think I've met him yet," Hurley said. "Obviously I better find him, now." He chuckled.

[intraspective]

"He's a good guy," she said, with a bit of a shrug. "But I'm, clearly, a bit biased. But you should totally meet him anyway!"

Hurley nodded. "Any guy you like has to be pretty cool."

Ino blinked.

And blinked again.

Then threw her head back and laughed. "I know some that'd argue with you about that! But thanks!"
