Room 504, Thursday Morning

[intraspective]

Ino... found herself somewhat at a loss for something to do. It was Thursday, and Thursday was her one day a week that she had absolutely nothing planned at all.

In a bit of a holdover from yesterday’s thinking at the store, she was sprawled stomach down on her bed and scribbling in her purple notebook a list of what, in her estimation, was wrong/needed improvement/was annoying/she wanted to fix, and then was slowly adding in what she thought had to be done if she wanted things to change.

She’d left the door open just for air circulation and the radio was on, but low.

"France in another time and perhaps another universe," Romeo admitted, studying his fingernails.

"... I have half a year to convince her?"

[intraspective]

"Oh?"

A beat.

"At least you know you've got the time?"

[withoutverona]

"Time," Romeo said, a little sourly, "would be the one thing on my side, yes."

He tried to shake it off, not especially successfully.

[intraspective]

"And good looks, and charm," she said helpfully.

[withoutverona]

"And she likes me," he said, grinning ever so slightly.

"I think she might feel better about it if I had a plan beyond following her there and hanging about like a puppy." Though, really, that was hardly her main objection. "I'd feel better about it as well."

[intraspective]

"Hm," Ino said, tapping her cheek. "Can you sing? You could totally be a pop idol, or something!"

...this was not meant as a serious suggestion, no.

Romeo missed the joke, in favor of boggling at Ino. "No, I don't sing. I did take Deadpool's class on modeling."

That was a joke. Kind of.

[intraspective]

She laughed. "Maybe you should try it!"

"It would be easier than trying to play pool for money," Romeo contributed. "Which was my other idea."

[intraspective]

She giggled. "That, yeah, that one might be hard to make a living off of," just a bit, "but if you do consider modeling I suggest talking to Chad. He's already done a bit of it."

"I might do as much," Romeo said, though he really wasn't terribly interested in modeling. "I'd already be annoying Yurika's family just by being American -- a model, I think, would be worse yet."

[intraspective]

"I seriously doubt it'd make them like you more," she laughed. "So maybe don't even try?"

"That would be the plan," Romeo nodded. "She doesn't actually want her father to like me, and I'm happy to aid in that."

[intraspective]

"Maybe you ought to act really... stereotypical American too?" Ino suggested. "Though that might make Dojima-san sigh a lot."

"And get sick of me, and then she'd want me to leave Tokyo." Romeo shook his head. "Besides, they've met me."

He sighed loudly. "I think it is time for a new topic. Did you have Halloween plans?"

[intraspective]

"Not really," she admitted, willing to change the topic. "Got a few ideas for a costume, but nothing more than that. You?"

Romeo shook his head. "I'm to help the fraternity set up the haunted house, but that's as far as my plans have gotten."

[intraspective]

"It's come up so quick this year," she mused, with a bit of a grin. "No time at all, really."

"It's because October's been so full," Romeo decided. "I had two trips off the island, and homecoming, and that -- oddness, and then Benvolio visiting."

[intraspective]

She nodded. "It's a bit crazy, really, all for one month."
