Room 504, Thursday Morning

It was almost sad, really, that she’d had this happen to her before. So, when she woke up as a guy that morning, rather than freak out about it (okay, maybe she’d flailed a bit), Ino spent a good bit of time attempting to see what she could and couldn’t accomplish in terms of training before heading back to her room.

Stupid center of balance. Why did it have to change?

At least she was pretty?

"That you're a girl? Or that I'm a boy?"

"Yes? I don't know... either?"

He wasn't quite sure which might be more jarring.

"It's creepier that you're a girl," she said. "But then, I've had time to adjust to this boy thing already."

"Creepy?"

He smirked just a little.

"All right, 'creepy' seems reasonable enough."

He tipped his chin towards Ino.

"I don't think I'll try to practice today, personally," he said. "Anything. I just have a broom ride tonight with someone and that is the extent of it, I think.

"Hopefully, I'll find something to read or something."

[intraspective]

"Creepy. And I tried!" Because Ino was a moron. "It's really, um, hard. All over the place."

A beat.

"With who?"

"Amber. She's been feeling poorly of late, I think, and asked if we could go up. I wasn't about to say no."

And he really and truly hoped that nothing bad came of mentioning Amber, even if he did do his best not to mention one to the other too much. He was rather inexperienced in the social realm, but smart enough to pick up cause and effect by some margin.

"And yes, I noticed that my center was off a bit this morning. Kept leaning over this way and that since it felt oddly."

[intraspective]

"Don't try any kicks," she advised with the authority of one who'd tried.

"You never say no," she said, keeping her voice deliberately light.

"Generally not," he agreed. "Especially not to fly.

"Have you been out lately?"

[intraspective]

"Not for a bit," she admitted. "I've been all over the place with other things and haven't gotten around to it. A lot of studying."

It bothered her a lot that she couldn't heal Romeo's shoulder. Which, even she knew, was stupid--she wouldn't have had the chakra either way to do so.

"I haven't been up much either," he admitted. "It's part of the reason I jumped at the mention.

"I don't know where the hours have been going lately, to be honest."

"Time flies when you're busy," she admitted. "And I've been really really busy."
