Room 504, the Causeway, then back in Alexandria -- Monday All Day

Ino was up bight and early and neatly dressed with her hair pulled back. And pacing, and making sure she had the things she knew she'd need.

Like her Dad's credit card.

And a bit of her money from working at Wellspring, but mostly her Dad's card. Dad, Ino knew, would totally understand if it was for weapons.

Now she just had to wait for Triela to show up and they could go.

[For the shopping buddy! Up early for crazy sp, and everything past the Causeway is NFB due to distance!]

"So, you want it?" Triela grinned at Ino while ignoring the amused eyeroll of the clerk.

Ino considered it a moment longer, then nodded her head. "I want this one."

"I think you've made a good choice," Triela nodded firmly as she reached out to check the little paper tag hanging from the trigger guard.

The man behind the counter chuckled, "Well, that's nice, but..."

He trailed off as Triela reached into her coat pocket and pulled out her wallet to began to peel of $100 bills. "Now it turns out that I actually have the paperwork to make the purchase legal," Triela said lightly, "But that takes time, and I'm afraid we just don't have that." She stacked enough cash for the price of the pistol with a hefty bonus on the counter.

The man swallowed and looked around the shop furtively, "Err.... how about we do this one off the books?"

Ino mentally kept track of how much Triela was paying. She so totally owed her for that.

The grin she gave the vendor probably didn't do much to reassure him though. "It's always nice to find a reasonable man, don't you think?"

That grin seemed to cause the bearded man to hesitate for a moment, but Triela added another bill to the stack and that seemed to help him make up his mind.

He pulled out a plastic gun case from behind the counter and handed it to Ino with only a hint of trepidation. "Um... pleasure doing business with you."

"Yes," Triela smirked, "It was."

She turned to Ino and gave a slight nod toward the door, "Shall we?"

"Mission one: accomplished!" Ino declared brightly, as the left the store. "Now on to other things, which are almost but not quite as exciting as mission one was."

It really really was.

There was a strong bit of glee in Ino's demeanor as she took the case with her gun in it, and then grinned at Triela.

"Of course!" she said, heading for the door. "We've still got a lot to do."

"Yes," Triela laughed, finally letting her face break into the grin she couldn't show the poor gun salesman. "Though you don't have to have a license for the rest of the stuff on our list, so you can actually pay for things."

Not that Triela minded, of course. She had plenty of money, after all.

"I'll be paying you back for it too, you know," Ino said, grinning. "Because then it'll totally be mine."

"You bet you will. I'm made from impact-resistant ceramics and alloys, not money."

She offered Ino her arm, "Now come on. It's time to accessorize."

Ino took the offered arm with a grin. "You'll get your money," she promised, “unless you’d rather get it back in gear.”

Ino glanced around. “Think there’s a shop nearby for accessories? If Fandom likes us well enough for the first then why not the second… ha! Look! Down the street a bit, that looks about right, don’t you think?”

"Well, well, well... are you sure you didn't plan this?"

Triela smirked and nodded, "I think we've found our first stop."

"I didn't plan this at all!" Ino insisted. "Really, how would I plan something like that?"

"And lets hope it's a good one then," she said, "because I'm not sure if Fandom likes us enough to give us two of the same sort of shop so nearby."

"We'll see," Triela said lightly as she pushed open the door.

It was a very odd sort of shop, really. Combat accessories hung from hooks, which was pretty standard, but there were also a number set up on mannequins which wasn't standard at all. It did have the effect of actually showing the equipment off though.

"Ooooh, this looks like just the place for us."

"Oooooh," was all she got in response as Ino promptly wandered over to look at what the mannequins were wearing. Because, seriously, and with no offense meant to Triela--

The mannequiens were way cooler than her at the moment.

"Good eye," Triela called as she followed. "So, I guess the first thing to decide is how you want to carry your pistol. The two main options are in a waistband holster or a shoulder rig."

Conveniently there were a pair of mannequins modeling great examples.

"Which is sneakier?" Ino asked immediately. The mannequins were great at showing what it looked like, but not so much with the showing how well they could be hidden.

"I mean, it's not like I wear bulky clothing or anything, so it'll be a bit more work to hide a weapon like this, right?"

"Yeah, the bigger the weapon the harder it is to hide. Of course you run into a weird problem where the better hidden a weapon is the harder it is to get to. I mean, you could keep it in a purse, but then you'd have to dig it out."

Triela pulls back her coat, "I've got a shoulder harness for mine, but I'm just about always wearing my coat. If I take it off then it's sort of obvious."

"Yeah," Ino eyed the coat, "people would stare way, way more if I suddenly started wearing coats." Most days, for Ino, were rather sleeveless. "I'm thinking then that a waistband holster would work better--I can always start wearing more of Kabuto's shirts when I go out, and those are pretty big on me. Big enough, I think, to hide this without looking like I'm hiding something."

"Probably a good plan." Triela picked up one of the holsters in question and held it out for inspection. "You'll see it's got a little clip on it. That's so you can put it inside the waistband of your pants or a skirt and put the clip on the outside. That let's you keep the gun hidden inside."

"And, yeah, you'll need a shirt or jacket or something that will cover the part of the gun that sticks up."

Kabuto's shirt collection was going to be pillaged now. So totally pillaged. What? It was for a good cause!

The fact that she liked wearing his shirts had nothing to do with it. Really. Hush.

"Is there a certain fabric or cut that it works best with?" Ino asked, checking the holster over carefully.

"Not really, just anything you're comfortable in."

"Though," Triela pursed her lips, "Remember that the gun's not exactly light. You'll want to make sure your pants are going to stay up. As long as you've got that covered, and you're careful not to wear something so tight that it shows the outline of the gun, you should be fine."

"I... think I can do that," Ino said, considering her wardrobe. "Do you have to clip it to your pants or skirt, or like, would the bandages I wear normally work well enough do you think?"

"You could probably use any sort of belt-like thing, yeah."

"There are a couple of other options too, though they're less common. Like we could try finding you a thigh holster or something."

"Maybe a thigh holster for when I don't need to hide it? Because that'd make it more convenient for me like, on a mission, or something. And get a waistband holster for when I can wear it, there might be danger, but it's best not to show off that I'm armed?"
