Room 504, Monday Evening

[intraspective]

By the time Ino got back to her room she had a headache from forcing herself to keep her temper. She opened the door, with slightly more force than was necessary, stepped inside then shut it. Oh-so-gently.

Then, almost calmly, she picked up one of her potted plants and flung it with all the force she could muster at the wall over her bed. The pot smashed satisfyingly but it wasn’t enough, not near enough, to make her feel better.

Another pot. Another crash against her wall.

How. Crash. Dare. Crash. He. Crash.

How. Crash. Dare. Crash. They. Crash.

Eventually she’d have to stop, either from running out of pots, or from spending her rage. Eventually she’d have to clean this mess up so she could sleep.

Eventually.

CRASH!

[Door is shut, post is very very open. ETA: Romeo showed up last, please. Everyone else is before him.]

Ino's response?

Was to fling a rather large plant at the wall.

Her message clearly being 'Piss. Off.'.

That actually made the wall over Romeo's bed shake, which was new.

"Some people worked today," he shouted. Probably unwisely.

[intraspective]

Like she cared.

He got another plant flung at the wall connecting them. Just because. It was as good a direction as any.

There was a pause, and then the thud of the heaviest book Romeo could find (a leatherbound dictionary) being flung back at the wall.

If he ignored his rapidly building headache, the damage to the paint and the fact his Verona poster was about to fall down from the stress, this was kind of fun.

[intraspective]

Oh yeah. Fun.

Another plant. Another crash. Another wish that Romeo would just get the hint and leave her alone.

[withoutverona]

Yeah, "taking a hint" was not anything Romeo had ever been especially good at. He tossed his other shoe.

And then, hesitantly because it felt odd to shout this at a wall, added, "Ino? Are you well?"

[intraspective]

"Fucking fantastic," Ino snarled at the wall. With another plant. Of course.

Okay, then.

Another big heavy book (a botany textbook, oddly enough) made its way to the wall before Romeo answered.

"Should I ask what's wrong, or merely find another place to be?"

He was assuming she'd opt for the second option.

[intraspective]

"Like. I. Care."

Which pretty much answered that as far as she was concerned.

Crash!

The "other place to be" option was sounding better and better, but now Romeo was curious.

Which is why he left his room and took the few steps that ended in banging on Ino's door. If she threw a whatever-she-was-throwing at the door, he'd just go away, and leave Teyla a warning.

[intraspective]

"Piss. Off."

But she flung her next plant at the wall, not at the door.

That was good; at least she wasn't trying to kill him through the door.

He didn't think she was, at least.

"You stop throwing things, and I will," he told the closed door. "... what are you throwing, anyhow?"

[intraspective]

Yeah. Like that was going to happen any time soon.

"Plants," Ino said shortly.

[withoutverona]

A man can live in hope.

"Of course, plants," Romeo muttered, more to his shoes than to the closed door. Clearly the whole school had gone insane, and he and Yurika were the only ones spared. "May I come in?"

[intraspective]

"Can you open a door?" Mockingly.

And another smash of a plant.

[withoutverona]

"The question is if doing so will mean an African violet goes through my skull," Romeo pointed out, but bravely opened the door anyhow.

And took in the carnage.

"Well, fuck," he said, impressed.

[intraspective]

It really was an impressive mess. When Ino threw a fit she threw it with style.

"Smashed those already," she said flatly.

[withoutverona]

"Oh, good, a philodendron would be a much more manly way to get a concussion," Romeo said, with a roll of his eyes.

"Why are you ruining your plants?"

[intraspective]

"It could be arranged," Ino told him.

"I'm not ruining them," many would be re-potted later, "I'm smashing them because it's better than smashing people."

[withoutverona]

"Please don't, though," he said quietly. "And yes, much better, and far easier to clean up."

"Anyone I know?" And now he was just being nosy.

[intraspective]

That was the general idea really.

"Cable-san--" smash a plant viciously "--Deadpool-san--" another plant gone "--Yondaime-sama."

Crash!

[withoutverona]

It was a good idea, and Romeo was getting the general impression asking Ino for more details was a bad one, at least if he was enjoying his concussion-free status. "I see," he said instead. "I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do, save leave you to your -" he gestured at the smashy-smashy "- plants?"

[intraspective]

"N--" Ino paused mid-smash. "Lend me your gun?"

It would be a really really bad idea to let her have a gun right now.

Yeah, Romeo was not quite that dumb.

"Not with you in such a humor," he answered readily, sounding very sure of himself. "Guns are too dangerous, too easy, when one is furious."

"There is one way, though," he added.

[intraspective]

Blades were pretty damn easy too, and she hadn't gone for any of those. Ino hadn't really expected him to concede though--just hopeful.

Another plant met the wall violently. "Oh?" Ino asked with a side-long glance.
