Room 504, Saturday Noonish

[intraspective]

After training with Liir, which la, is still in progress, Ino had had another shower and was now puttering around her room and fussing with her plants.

She was debating going out. After all she did tend to go see A.J. often on Sundays but...

Ugh. Ino just didn't feel like being social today, really. Nonetheless, she left the door open a bit.

[Expecting one, but otherwise entirely open as well!]

"Yeah," Triela sighed. "It's hard because I'm stronger and faster than most people. Hilshire keeps pressuring me to learn some real fighting techniques since usually I just charge people and hit them."

[intraspective]

That got a sideways glance. "When I teach," Ino said, "I don't have any student try to actually use the techniques in a mock-fight for at least a few weeks. You've gotta get the form down first."

"Why?" Triela asked, genuinely curious.

[intraspective]

"Sets your body memory," Ino explained. "So that, in battle, you remember what to do and not just have all your training fly out the window. You've got to know the rules to break them."

"Interesting. We always do our exercises back home with live ammunition. Jean always says there's no point in practicing if you're not going to make it real."

"I guess hand to hand stuff's even more different than I thought."

[intraspective]

"We start training when we're really really young," Ino said. "And that's the way we do it. Live weapons only come into play once we've proven ourselves at the drills."

"I got my first gun my first day with the Agency. Hilshire gave it to me." Triela grinned, "It's interesting how we can be the same and different, isn't it?"

[intraspective]

That made her laugh. "But we can learn from each other, because of our differences."

Ino grinned. "I should totally bug you for more gun training."

"You should," Triela agreed. "It's a shame they don't have very good facilities for it here. Serious training would mean a shoot-house where I could teach you how to do room entry and stuff."

[intraspective]

"Seriously?" Ino perked up. "That sounds like the best thing ever. Think we could find a place on the mainland?"

"Maybe," Triela said, considering the idea. "It couldn't hurt to look for one, but I think they're pretty rare outside of the military or police forces. But we might get lucky."

[intraspective]

"Hmmm," Ino glanced at her ceiling. "Well, maybe, if all else fails, we go and find a deserted area of some town and try it there."

And possibly wind up arrested, but oh well.

"Oh, hey, that might work!"

"I mean, if we can't find something else. Of course."

[intraspective]

She laughed. "Of course, of course."

"Well, if you think of anyone who might want to teach me, and wouldn't be bothered by a student who can pick up a small car, you'll let me know, right?"

[intraspective]

"Try Deadpool-san," Ino said. "He can heal pretty much anything, so even if you hurt him it won't last for more than a few minutes."

"Really?" Triela asked, but then paused, frowning. "Is he going to lecture me about feeling bad when I kill people, though?"

[intraspective]

"He can heal. He stabbed himself to prove it to me." And Ino had spazzed. "And, really, he's pretty much the least lectury 'bout it. He'll just say you've got psychopathic tendencies, like he does, and go on."

"Oh, well, I suppose I could deal with that," Triela decided.

She sighed, "It'd be better if I had someone like you to teach me, but I'm afraid I'd hurt you if we got serious."

[intraspective]

"I am tougher than I look," Ino told her, "so I wouldn't mind trying sometime, but yeah. Maybe a different permanent teacher is a good idea."

"I bet you are," Triela nodded. "You'd have to be. Killing people doesn't come without risks, after all."

[intraspective]

"That's right," she agreed. "So, please, we'll try it at some point and you won't go easy on me, okay? I'll deal."

"I think I can handle that," Triela grinned. "But it'll have to wait until I'm good enough not to get beat up."

"I'll be waiting for sure," she laughed.
