Room 505, Friday Evening

[intraspective]

Ino had freshly brewed tea in a teapot, two cups, several medical textbooks, a notebook with questions scribbled in it, her hairbrush, a change of clothes, and chocolate. A fair bit of chocolate actually, even though he probably wouldn't eat it. She had tea biscuits though if he wanted something. Ino was thoughtful!

Even with the help of a bag it was rather a lot for her to carry all in one trip. So, when she crossed the hall, with the bag slung over her shoulder and carrying the tea and cups on a tray, Ino found herself without a way to knock. Oh well. Too late now. Since her hands were full, she decided on the next best thing.

No, she didn't kick the door.

She flared her chakra instead. Once, twice. Three second pause. Once, twice.

He'd better get the idea and open the stupid door.

"Expecting you to leave? No. I'm wondering if it might be easier for you to simply leave things here instead of bringing them back and forth." Kabuto shrugged slightly. "There is another dresser."

There was an entirely unused half of the room, in fact.

Ino could totally move in, if she wanted. Not that Kabuto was hinting that.

"Seriously?" It was almost a squeak.

Ino made funny leaps of logic like that. Use of the dresser made his room practically her room too. Blink. Blink.

"Why not? It would be more convenient, wouldn't it?" It just seemed so logical to Kabuto.

[intraspective]

"Convenient..." Ino repeated, still dumbfounded.

"Yes. Convenient. Beneficial. Handy." Kabuto raised his eyebrows. "You don't think so?"

[intraspective]

"It doesn't sound right," she said, frowning, "doing it for convenience sake."

"No?" Kabuto tilted his head to the side. "What would you prefer to call it?"

[intraspective]

"I don't know," she looked a bit flustered, "just not that."

"You don't think it would be convenient to keep a pair of pajamas here, since you tend to spend the night fairly often?" Kabuto was just clarifying. He saw where she'd taken things, but since he'd never outright said that...

[intraspective]

She squinted at him. Then frowned more. "Just forget it," Ino said grumpily, "it doesn't matter."

"Liar."

Kabuto took another drink, totally deadpan.

[intraspective]

"So what?"

Mutinously.

"If it's important, say it is. If it's not, get over it."

Kabuto didn't have a lot of patience for waffling.

"Forget it," Ino said firmly, "I'm going to sleep."

"Here?"

It had to be asked.

"Yeah." Almost grudgingly.

Kabuto set his teacup down on the tray, reaching up to take off his glasses. "...Good."

[intraspective]

Ino yawned. "Glad you think so."

"I do think so." Kabuto scooted down into a more comfortable position, his arm around Ino still. "I like it when you stay with me."

[intraspective]

She buried her head against his side. "Okay," Ino said, wriggling around to snake an arm around his waist, "I believe you even if you've sometimes got an infuriating way of showing it."

"I still don't see what has you so upset." Kabuto snuggled her close, anyway. "But I'm glad you decided to stay. Goodnight, Ino."

[intraspective]

He got a sleepy 'hmph' for the first bit of what he'd said, but Ino was much more amendable to snuggling. "Night..."
