Room 504, Sunday Late Evening

It had been a day spent dealing with two of four of the children, and Ino was pretty sure she’d gotten the easy two. Isae had wanted to window shop, and Ken had been pleased enough to walk with them while she asked questions about his classes. Then she and Ken had gone to Fight Club.

“Isae, honey, we’re back,” Ino said, pushing the door open. “Have you seen Masaki, or Masaru around yet?”

“Nuh huh,” Isae said, while Ken took a seat on the floor. “Otousan’s probably going to be back soon. Masaki’s a baby and’ll need sleep! I don’t need sleep yet, Okaasan. Honest!”

It wasn’t much help, no—but it was cute.

“How about a story about a demon fox?” Ino said, getting the shirt off. “Have I told you guys that one lately? Isae, go get changed. Listen to your Otousan. You’re a doll, Ken. Masaki, no pouting, you don’t want your face to freeze like that, do you? Masaru—pants.”

Ino was kinda rocking the whole orders thing. “Ichigo, go get changed.” It was obvious she was going to be the last one into her jammies.

Ken made a bit of a face, but supposed he ought to be glad that Okaasan wasn’t bossing him around. “Come on,” he said, helping Masaki get out of her clothing and into her nightgown. “It’s not so bad, right?”

“Fiiiiiine,” Isae said, sighing and wriggling out of Ichigo’s grasp to grab her jammies and flee to the bathroom. “No peeking!”

There wasn't a bath, so Masaki was okay with it. "No, and I want to hear about the demonfox!" She obviously did know the story.

Masaru rolled on the bed so he could hold up his feet and kick out of his pants. He apparently had no reservations about peeking.

"We won't," Ichigo assured Isae and then something registered and he turned towards Ino. "Hey, no bossing me around!"

“Demonfox it is then,” she said, smiling while getting Masaru into his jammie bottoms and giving Ichigo a look. “Come on, Otousan, don’t you want to provide a good example for them?”

Ino was not above using his own words against him. “Isae, don’t forget to brush your teeth!”

[I’mma going to be slow with a side of slow unfortunately. Work is being evilish.]

“I won’t, Okaasan!” Isae called, her voice muffled by the door.

“There,” Ken said, giving Masaki’s nightgown a final tug. “All changed. See, that wasn’t hard, right?”

"I need to supervise," he objected, eyeing Ino suspiciously. He was seeing what she was doing here.

"No," she bounced on the bed and then started tugging on the blankets. "Come on, Ken!"

"Can we jump on the bed too?" Masaru asked instantly, losing interest in getting dressed half way through and looking at Masaki over Ino's shoulder.

“You’re getting changed first,” Ino informed Ichigo, “so that while they’re brushing their teeth—Masaki, you’ve got to brush your teeth first—no Masaru, no jumping on the bed, and put your jammie shirt on—Ken, control your sister—I can get changed and you get to watch them.”

Ken sighed, and went to pick Masaki up so there was no more jumping. “Okaasan’s getting bossy,” he told her solemnly.

“I’m all done!” Isae chirped, bouncing out of the bathroom in her nightgown. “Otousan, can you brush my hair?”

Masaki let herself fall on top of the pillow. "But my teeth are clean! See!" She bared her teeth, showing them to Ino to prove so.

"But jumping on the bed is fun!" Masaru protested at the same time.

Ichigo stared at Ino, trying to process all the damn orders she was given and the responses of the kids at the same time... He was so getting a headache. Plus, the whole multitasking thing was getting Scary. Did he really do this on a daily basis?

"Where do I get changed?" he wanted to know and then to Isae, "I can, just give me a moment." Seriously, how did he handle this on a daily basis?

“Bathroom,” she ordered Ichigo, “now. Isae, sit down. Masaki, you still need to brush your teeth, otherwise invisible monsters will take them away from you ‘cause you’re treating them badly, Masaru put on your shirt right now. Ken, help him.”

Lucky for Ichigo, Ino was rather better in the multitasking thing. It came from being trained as a ninja.

“Yes, Okaasan,” Ken said, sounding a bit amused. “Masaru!”

“Fiiiiine,” Isae said, flopping down on the other bed before sitting up. “I guess I can wait.”

Ichigo wasn't taking too kindly to being ordered like that and he had half a mind to argue, but the room was noisy and doing this in front of four kids wasn't something he was in the mood for either. So instead, he got up - ruffling Isae's hair for an instant - and slammed the door only a little.

"I can do it!" Masaru said instantly, reaching for his shirt to tug it on.

Masaki was sitting with a hand in front of her mouth, her eyes wide. "I mike my teethm!"

Ino really didn’t care about anything as silly as Ichigo’s feelings at the moment, trying as she was to get them all in bed and he was not helping in her estimation.

“Come here, silly,” she said, reaching out for Masaki. “You get to keep your teeth if you brush them properly.”
