Room 504, Thursday Daytime

There was a rather ominous level of rage emanating from room 504 today.

After being carried back to the dorms, Ino had slept in fits and starts, too wound up to ever really rest, and eventually gave up entirely.

A few hours later, Ino was sitting cross-legged on her floor, in one of Kabuto’s shirts and not much else (which, really, his shirts were more than long enough to be pajamas on her, come on) and fuming.

And considering how to burn the poster bits. Should she do it one piece at a time? Or all at once?

Ino would be good for tonight, and the boy hunting.

For now though—the poster bits were going to die by fire.

As soon as she figured out which way would be the most satisfying.

"Don't give me that look," Ichigo said, not looking all too intimidated. "See, Chad and I are buddies. At least, sort of. He's not the Chad I know, but he's close enough, and the Chad I do know I have a deal with. So if he commits himself to something, then I have to back him up."

He reached up to rub the back of his neck as if the muscles were sore from a long day's... lazing about. "It'd be a nuisance having to run you around town and then things would just get messy."

Ichigo grinned. "And just after our second conversation?"

"I never said I think it's a good idea," Ichigo corrected calmly, still failing to look worried about Ino's mood. "In fact, I think it's a downright stupid idea. People just do stupid things."

He poked with his toe at the ex-posters. "It's like those idiots who smoke themselves to death, but you can't force them to stop. They know what the risks are so it's their choice really."

Damn. He actually let his guard down and Ichigo hit the floor with an umph.

"So just tell them," he grimaced.

This time he was prepared and he blocked the kick, quickly reaching to grab hold of her ankle and pull her down too. "Stop it!"

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Fine," he let go of her ankle and pushed to his feet. "You may have a point, Ino. I don't get this world enough yet to know, but just getting pissed off and deciding you hate anyone who doesn't agree with you isn't going to make anyone want to listen to you."

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd listen if you weren't shouting so damn much," Ichigo grumbled. Or you know, kicking him. He was fairly used to the abuse, though.

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh great, he was almost starting to feel bad for shouting now. Almost. "I don't necessarily think you're wrong."

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Personally he was better with the spirits. "Yeah. And what do you know about them?" he challenged.

The cocky grin faded as he considered her, slowly processing what she was saying. It was as if every day that passed he became more thankful to Rukia for preparing him for this kind of weird shit. "Sounds like a risky skill to have," he remarked.

"No," he agreed, leaning back against the desk. "So do all ninjas from your world have skills like that or is it just your family?"

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-19 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"So it's more of a mix of skills and genes?" he wondered.

[identity profile] first-guardian.livejournal.com 2008-07-19 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Ichigo decided that he didn't know nearly enough about genes. "That would make your family pretty renowned."
